So I've always been one of those people (no making fun please) who has trouble being good. I can never have enough villagers to get enough economic income, and still have a large enough army to wipe out an opposing force. So, I asked myself what I could do to improve myself. And so I made some changes to the game, listed below.

-Houses provide 25 population, allowing for greater chances of reaching the max population of 300, but also requiring the player to fight over available settlements if they want to reach the 300 max population.

-Another helpful little bit that I added allows for a huge army, which takes out some frustration. I made villagers cost no population, but they still cost food (and wood if Atlantean) and they still have a max unit count.

DarkEmpire Well ive been gone for a long tuime here and decided to head back and check out a few things. I can do this myself, but this was a good idea that i just havn't thought of yet. It always annoyed me wwhy the villagers cost population lol. Well godd idea man. :-)
smithy1993 hi i know this isnt a forum but could you explain how to edit things like this and if you know how to make maps for random maps, also how to create new are the called mods, like new soldiers

destructor997 dude u dont need villigers to get resources just use cheat codes press enter then type in: trojan horse for sale to get 1000 wood. atm of erebus to get 1000 gold. and junk food night to get 1000 food also type in mount olympus for full lightning

PS: all the letters in the cheats MUST be capital

Codes make the game lose the grace after a while.
Banoffee smithy1993, this was made by modifying the 'protox' file. Which can be found by extracting the data2.bar. In this file you can edit the stats of any of the units in the game. If you are looking to learn how to mod I suggest reading the guides on this site. Search for 'Introduction to Modding' by Stephen Caines.
zenon333 cheats make the game way to easy, and if its too easy, then there is no point to playing a real time strategy game, when you don't work for anything. its 50% of the game to gather resources, and managing economy is a huge part of being a successful AoM player

Nice. Works just like it says it will. The only thing that stuck out was dwarves still counted towards population, but other than that it's a great mod that helps a bunch when you're making an army.

I really lýked this but how can I add more than 1 "protox" files in data folder?
