Only submit once. The delay is so I can approve your file in case it violates the COC. |

Playability: 2
This wasn't a very engaging map. There weren't but the one music trigger, add a few more to liven things up a bit and make the game a bit more interesting. Not to sound mean or anything, but if people wanted to just attack the enemy, they would play a random map and save themselves the download time.
Introduce us to some new and intriguing ideas!
Balance: 2
I played it on medium, and the AI didn't do anything except cut trees, build a temple, and advance to the classical. IT wasn't very well balanced, I don't know why this happened, but it did. I suppose it's not your fault, but as a designer it's your duty to make the game a challenge.
Creativity: 2
I liked the little area in the right hand corner of the map. But as there were no fish close enough to the shore, I saw no need to build a dock, and thus didn't find it until the game was over and the map was revealed.
The terrain design was okay, there was enough lumps and bumps to make it look like an interesting place to be, but other than that one corner there was nothing truly neat.
Map Design: 2
There wasn't any mixing happening here. I did notice that the grass A went to grass dirt, and then to sand, but the transition was poor. Add a few blotches here and there, just make sure they blend into the whole. Add a few rocks, flowers and lonesome trees, add a creek bottom, a few rotting logs, and perhaps a ruin.
Mix it up a bit.
Story/Instructions: 1
The story was attack the enemy. If the map is well done, that's okay, if you can make it more interesting than a random map we'll download it and eradicate the enemy time and again. But you have to do better than a random map. This is done with a storyline. Maybe your god has decreed that you have to attack these three enemy towns in such a way that they attack each other or the God Osiris will come and smite thee. But if you do this, be sure to add instructions. Add the objectives tab, maybe a cinematic where he comes down and tells you to make the three towns fight each other.
Additional Comments:
As for additional comments... Make sure you save the game while you are the players team. If the person who is to play the game is supposed to play team one, save the file while team one in the Editor. Change this with the control and function keys. I had to go into the editor and push ctrl/F1 to play as player one. Because it was saved as player two. |
