Playability: 3
This was a reasonably enjoyable map. It wasn't something I had to force myself to play, but it wasn't something I had to force myself to put down either. The enemy was reasonably aggressive, enough to make it a worthy fight, but could have used a bit longer game-play. I'd say good work here. It is indeed much better than your previous maps. I've played four to six of your maps, and this was the best.
Balance: 4
Balance was great. This was before the update you made. There was too little gold on the little island I was based on, and the enemy had plenty, but due to the difficulty, the enemy didn't press so hard I couldn't field a force to wipe them out. To better this I would suggest more base space (I need room for farms, woods, gold, buildings, and armies). I managed to use the transport to get off the island and find forest, to further my Greek Domination, but the enemy soon found me and chased off my villagers. So good work here.
Creativity: 3
Your creativity was reasonable. You've picked up a good amount of experience making maps, but the ideas you're fielding are old. What saved you here was a decent map. Try having a bit more of a story in there. Sexy says to decide on a few things to happen (Events) toss them into a pot and you have a plot. Pull them out one at a time and then see where it takes you. Maybe add a few more interesting things happen in the story. Why are the Greeks invading? Maybe you should change Kastors name to something more exciting, so that we have a new character whose story we long to follow.
Map Design: 3
I'm glad to say that your map making skills have improved. The map was easy to look at, but yet nothing was truly exciting. I almost didn't recognize it as your work. The map was colored with more grasses, there were rocks, I think I remember bushes... and so on. The map could have used a good bit more wood. Especially since player is Hades, and the player will want to take advantage of the archer bonuses therein. This will require wood. Lots of it.
Story/Instructions: 3
There wasn't much of a story and the instructions were... I don't remember any. (I'm messing up and writing this a day after playing.) As I said before, add a few events to spice things up a bit. I was pleasantly surprised to see the Giants, and was more pleased to see a trigger converting them after a time. It would have been too easy to just give them to the player, but instead you took another step and used triggers.
But you still have a ways to go. I'd suggest starting out with a few events, mixing them up, creating a character, naming the character and then throwing him at the events to see what he does for your next scen. I've just DL'd Poseidon's Revenge, and so, if you do as I suggest here, I will try to DL and review your next Scen. Good luck!

thanks for you review, i am currently working on one of my old maps(improving it)and this advice will help, but i want to have a starting cinematic
that takes place in another map, and i am almost done making it, but would you happen to know how to make it so when you play the original map, it starts out with that separate scenario cinematic? does anybody know? |

You mean like they did in the campaign? No, I don't know. There are triggers though that suggest such things by their names, but I'm not sure how to use them. They involve putting your scenarioes into a folder and telling the computer that that folder is a campaign. |
