Vengeance is the best-looking single player campaign yet. The terrain is great, with excellent texture mixing throughout and well made elevation too. There looks to be a wide variety of interesting terrain in the final product and there’s plenty of potential as far as the story is concerned – certainly worth looking out for! But it wasn’t perfect: especially, the text at the was truly awful and should have been entered as proper text for the game to display normally. The music could have been tied in more effectively with the visuals (particularly when we first see Polyphemus. Just a few seconds too late!) and the grave at the beginning didn’t look like a grave at all. More use could have been made of the game’s special effects like rain or even god powers and though the textures were great, the underworld remains barren and uninteresting, though that may well be purposeful. ;-) The two fights are also anticlimaxes. Perhaps some background sounds, even just cheering, or something more scripted and open would make them more fun to watch.
The only two remaining points are mere quibbles. Firstly,
Arkantos didn’t actually die: he was made into a demi-god in the very last scene by Athena.
and secondly it would help if you made a new player for the viewer and gave them one unit somewhere out of the way: this would get rid of the attack prompts that can be heard towards the end.
Not so much interesting as promising.
Not applicable in a movie, given this rating so it doesn’t affect the overall score.
Looks to be the best single player campaign yet, though competition is hot.

There none better – but still room for improvement.
Plenty of opportunity, but not a lot really happens in this preview.
