Oasis has never been my best map, however, I played pretty well on it this time around.
Notes:
-Slow Archaics for both of us, timing in at about 6:00 each.
-He quickly put up the no-rush wall, and also took a lot of goats, making my husbandry seem to be "not worth it", after I got it.
-We didn't do much Classical fighting...I tried Centaur raiding, but I wasn't going to take the time to destroy a wall with arrows, so I just put Centaurs as another part of my army.
-I boomed pretty early, whereas he stopped training villigers pretty early. (Look at the postgame - I nearly doubled his civilian unit high and pretty much all the other economic fields.) By 18 minutes or so, we were both Heroic, which was fairly slow. I had been building up a pretty big army, so I had an excuse.
-Heroic went by quickly, right after I hit it I buit a market and started going Mythic. He did the same.
-On the Eastern side of the map, we entered what seemed like a stalemate for over 17 minutes of Mythic Age fighting. His army was all axemen and slingers and priests, while I started farming myrmidons and siege, and some peltasts.
-We collided many times, I took out his nearby town center either 3 or 4 times (can't remember), and eventually, his poorly made economy failed him.
-At around 28:30, when he attacked my gold miners with the Phoenix, he should have rushed my army as well, and I would have been done for.
-Overall a good game, however he made some pretty bad moves, including the economy stopper.
-Anyone that says the Zeus's lategame is an idiot. (Pardon my harshness, but it's very true!)
-Myrmidon+Champion Infantry+Iron Weapons+Some siege=Unstoppable.
