>>1.) Overview:

Storyline: '...his town was burning; robbers were destroying everybody and everything; robbers that departed from another city'............Ever since he was a boy, William always wanted to know what was on the other side of those cliffs. His parents told him never to journey there... then, the attack had come. He had nowhere to run;...... nowhere to flee... He went for it;... he squeezed himself through an opening in the cliff, as he could hear his people screaming, swords -----...... . He was there; on the other side of the cliff. He may have not known it, but an epic adventure was about to begin...

Epic Soldier is a funfilled RPG Scenario with high quality triggers and eyecandy. The scenario was made mainly to encourage the creation of RPGs and simply to allow people to have fun. But until now, it has won 3rd place in an RPG competition.

The map itself is the size of the default starting map.

- MAIN FEATURES:

You have your own personal inventory!
You can take up a job such as weed, milk cows, and mow a lawn!
You can pick up items by walking over them!
You can really talk to people!
Includes many advanced triggers!

Includes a realistic Day/Night cycle!

Includes conditioned intelligence!

Shadows in the forest- due to revealing LOS problems.

PS. What you're getting here is virtually the exact scenario I submitted for the competition. No changes have been made that effect gameplay.

mgs15 i appreciate this RPG aom scn. it's simple to play and greatly enjoyable! thanks for making one. hope there would be more scns like this to come.

Halfway into the project I was thinking all the time about Epic Soldier 2, and there's a good chance it will come out.

*Also I must mention that if you want the actual Epic Soldier text art for the instructions manual to work, you'll need microsoft word.

the intructions made this a five i had trouble with the fire making i chatted flint and nothing happend but i understand it might just be me.

Balance: 5
there were a lot of enemys but the improvements later on balanced it out.

Creativity: 5
i liked those lost atlanteans and atlanta. and the market idea was great. also having the improvements in the osiris boxes gives you a five

Map Design: 4
some parts were just beatiful but others had too steep cliffs and no very manuverable.

Story/Instructions: 5
great instructions an unbeliveable ending cool charaecters.

Additional Comments:
please make a another! it was very advanced and exciting with the forest fire and crushing the bandit king with your statue.

once again it was very nice.

Thanks! :) I'm gonna take the time to comment on some things you were talking about it.

i had trouble with the fire making i chatted flint and nothing happend

In the instructions manual, if the item in your inventory cannot be selected, you have to either use "-give" or "-use", and then the item. Like this: -give flint . or -use flint .

by the way, you know if you go over to the destroyed house once the fire dies down you pick up stuff. ;)

crushing the bandit king with your statue

lol Ok now This is the funny part. OK so I made the market right? And I made it so you could buy a statue right? The problem was, it never occured to me what you would actually use that statue for! So, orginally it was Maybe supposed to involve the sword, in which that case their could be different options you could have with it. But the thing that i didnt really stress was... ITS A FRICKEN STATUE! Is it supposed to be big? Is it supposed to be small? Is it supposed to be heavy? Is it supposed to be light? I figured I'd leave this up to the player to decide for himself.

The game is simple but really entertaining. I also liked the way how you presented the game because I didn't find any bugs and most of all this scn is greatly possible to finish, despite some challenges. The difficulty of this scn is fair enough, not too hard and not too easy. Also, a player would really need his brain to finish this.
Balance: 4
I think the number of enemy's bandits are just enough for a single man to fight. As for the spirits, I think it is still possible to add few more like 3 to 6 units (since you have some allies at this point) to increase the thrill of the game a bit.

Creativity: 5
Judging by your ideas (Inventory, Chat Method, the lawn mower and the market system) I could say you are really creative. I never thought it would be possible to make a good RPG like this in AOM's map editor.

Map Design: 4
Well the map is designed just right. There are the town, the market, the cliffs and the forest, greatly detailed with some dead bodies. You have also made great use of every space in the map, which includes various locations (as mentioned above), the governor's interior office and the inventory

Story/Instructions: 4
Everything you need to know how to play the scn is included in the instructions, only that you failed to indicate that the articles 'a/an' is needed in the 'i have ITEM' command. It took me an hour to say to Atalanta i got statue because of the a/an. I only found that I lack those words when I viewed the notepad attached on this file. I think it would be better if you would include it in the in-game instructions, that's why I only gave it 4.

Additional Comments:
I really like this scn. Hope you can make a part 2, or even a different story, but the idea should be the same as this one. I would want some different setting as well, which is the castle or palace and caves.

Suggestion: If possible, make the camera lock on your character. Good job! Keep it up!

Yeah, you're totally right. I'm gonna be updating this soon with more enemies.

Yeah this is what i was afraid of. I only have so much room in the in-game instructions. We'll see what i can do to make it stand out more.

Funny you said that. I've always dreamed of this, but I thought it wouldnt really work for this scenario. However, in the next RPG that comes out, Its going to be in 3rd person style!
mgs15 aom expert, i'm gonna wait for that! i really love playing simple RPG scns like this to give me a relaxing time after dealing with Mr. Monday handicapped AI's. If you wish, you can DL some of the rec games I posted here in AoMH.

anyways, i guess your next release will be more exciting. good luck!
Marauder1221 Hey what do you say to atalanta? I played it for like 2 hours then I gave up. I tried "I have a statue, I have an statue, and I have statue". What do I say? Please tell me. Other than that part I loved it. Oh and I couldn't figure out what to say to bella. It was a great scenario. I would have made it at least second in the RPG Tornament.

"i have a statue" (without the quotes) should work.

*Remember that when you're talking to people, you have to be right up to them.

Also, the word for the dog was "come" (without the quotes).

The scenario had great playibility so no doubt it should get a 5.
Balance: 4
The only reason I give this a four is the number of shades at the end where you kill the lampadas. Therer could've been like 5 more since you had an army.

I've never seen a scenario like this. You definatly should come out with an Epic Soldier 2.

Map Design: 5
I loved the map design. I mean how do you put such a great scenario in the default map starter? Great job!

Story/Instructions: 4
The only reason this is a four is the "I have item" commaned. Asking AOM Expert was my last resort.

Additional Comments: Props to AOM Expert for helping me on the "I have item" commaned. Oh and AOM Expert you should make like a trilogy of Epic Soldier.
