Ghost in the machine

Author File Description

Version: AoM: The Titans

In this scenario you will have to sneak your way around 9 cunningly designed levels without being detected by guards to murder King Meyer in the name of evil. You will be timed, and the quicker times will earn you evil relics of increasing value.
This scenario is very re-playable and whilst being on the difficult side - practice makes perfect :). When you get really good, you could even appear on the online scoreboard (see below for more info).

PLEASE read the read-me before playing the scenario, otherwise you will feel stupid when you come here to complain and find your answer in the readme...
Scenario version 1.00.

The online scoreboard:
Is currently offline, lol. Please check back here for the link (I am told it should be up by the end of the week) or look out for it in my sig on the forums. Why not use this time to get really good so you explode on to the scoreboard ;p?

Special thanks to my playtesters!

Playability: 5
Let's rate this ! Okay first of all this is an amazing scenario. I note 5 for the playability. Nothing is messed up, you just have to dodge the light shades of the enemies and walk througout the levels. This is as simply as possible and the challenges made during different levels are just fair and well put together. Even the common AoM glitches are off (like our hero stuck in a cliff, etc). It was just perfect, you just open your map, it starts and you play. Nothing more, and it works !

Balance: 4
I'll take out 1 star for this rate because of one thing and one thing only : irregularity between some levels. It wasn't noticeable but sometimes a level is harder than its next. But usually it was correct, things move on to the next stage and it flows like a nicely made river, you're just picked and put here to do what you have to do. Except some enemies that are almost impossible to reach (or maybe because I am a noob ^^), and some levels that are incomprehensible and impossible to do in one go without having seen it once before, the balance is clearly fine and the only person you can yell at is yourself.

Creativity: 5
New ! original ! awesome ! What can I say more ? This is completely changing my vision of Age of Mythology. Who could ever think "Eh guys, I'm making a spy assassin game where you have to dodge guards and helicopters !" ? Yeeb did, and Yeeb has right ! This is totally changing the gameplay, the level design and I was totally playing an other game when I played this. Creative, so far.

Map Design: 3
Hmm... Yeah. Only 3, you won't get 5 stars according to me with that design. I have to agreed that we were supposed to walk in dungeons and underground. But the levels were all the sames, with that atlantean tile. I would like to give it a 2, but that would be unfair compared to all the work you did in this map. So I noticed you placed some nice eyecandy, columns, details, and I checked the "evil" part of the map and it was well good made. For this I'll higher it to 3 points. But, no rocky area that makes us feel we are under the ground ? No mossy stone that makes us feel we are in the sewers ? No colors, ambient, atmosphere ? It was just all dark with blue passages. Hmm... Nah, I don't like it, that could be better.

Story/Instructions: 5
Here we are this deserves a 6 stars ! But I can only put 5 stars... Why this ? Because in this scenario you finally can incarnate a bad and evil guys ! You finally are the mad man, the badass and THIS is great ! I always wanted to do something as a bad member of a bad team because he's badass, you know... And now it's possible. But not only this is making me loving the Story : Humor ! Is also a huge part of this scenario. I won't tell you everything but just the "I'll set number 6 as new master - Thanks, I'll make sure they will suffer !" => This is bright ! Now for the instructions part, they were clear, you can understand what you have to do just by reading the Message box, and just get to te objectives for more informations. This is perfectly done.

Additional Comments:
A really enjoyable scenario, particularly if you like challenge and test yourself in different rules. Unlock different types of medal like gold, bronze etc that makes replayability of the map infinite. You play it, replay it, and re-replay it ! And the more you play, the more you enjoy doing this !

Good work, one of the best SinglePlayer scenario ever made for sure, and again, guess who did this ? ... ;)
