Playability: 2
Well in this topic, your game was a masacre, and not in a good way. Not even 5 minutes into playing the game, I had already won, and had no idea how whatsoever. I didnt make any new units and just fought a few giants. I didnt even destroy any enemy buildings.
Balance: 3
I just put a 3 here more for the hell of it. It was pretty much played like the main AOM campaign so nothing new gameplay wise, but that certainly isnt a bad thing at all. Wasnt too exciting, but kept that original AOM feel.
Creativity: 2.5
I give you creativity of '2.5' just because I dont know the full story you intend to put this in. It always fun to enjoy a little old school AOM fighting, but isnt that original of a idea of just humans fighting random giants.
Map Design: 4
I gave you a 4 here because this seems to be one of your first scenarios, and was done rather well for a beginner-ish map design. It wasnt too bland and complimented the games' general atmosphere.
Oh and there was like 5 highlighted parts of the map, which I was still confused, and in the end had nothing to do with the story as, like I said, I won in under 5 minutes without even knowing how.
Story/Instructions: 1
This was deffintly your weakest point. And was just ridiculous from the begining. The first 'conversation' I'd guess id call it as soon as the scenario starts really NEEDS to be a cinematic. I had no idea what was happening, lines and lines of words were popping up every second and I was stressing to read any of it, and after I was done skimming through all the people 'talking' I couldnt remember at all what was happening. Once again, this can be solved by an easy slow moving cinematic. Just remember to slow down.
And the instructions or quest objectives were really bland, but I know you said soemthing about bad english, so I wont get to exact on this. Objective 1, though, was something along the lines of this-
"Perseus after helping the first norse village got told of a norse village to the east where he will go and fight" -
It was just a rather poor objective description, and my example wasnt justifying it.
I wont get to onto your english though, as im assuming your are foreign.
Additional Comments:
Overall is was an alright scenario, and very good for your first one, But I had to judge harshly due to the lack of gameplay, (like i said before, ended in well under 5 minutes), It has potential, just work with cinematics, story, and just sloww downn. it makes everybody understand whats happening alot easier.
GOOD LUCK ON YOUR PROJECT!
and get back to me if you ever need help![Edited on 07/20/11 @ 02:56 PM]
