Sir Lagalott
You absolutely right. And most people here know it and just enjoy beating up on greek players or simply don't play the game and make loose assumptions. Based on some stat chart they read somewhere.
By the time one greek heroe kills a fire giant/collosus/medusa,etc. That MU has killed 3-4 expensive human units. Now multiply that by 4-5 MUs on the field and add the fact the greek heroes die rather easily to human units and cost an arm and a leg. Greek heroes are very poor cost effectively.
In the early stages a mass anubite, centaur, sphinx, mintaur, Hell any myth rush and its gg for greece.
In archaic, classical, you get two pathetically weak heroes. Who can barely even catch up to most myth units to even attack them. Let alone stop more than two units from completely desimating your economie each one of those myth units will probably kill about 4 villies each. And all you really need to do is have that heroe chase your myth around while your human units make minse meat of him.
But i don't think it's greeks heroes that make people not play with them. Since most players rarely ever use myth units anyway In AOM. It's mostly all the other disadvantages greeks have. More buildings, slower econ, slow build times, the most easily counterd units in the game. No counters till heroic. <--80% of games are probably over before or immediately right after Heroic. and the fact that they don't have an all around efective unit like TA, jarls, huskarls, CA, etc.
