I think Thor's main strenght is that he is so adaptable!
With Thor, you can easily predict what your opponent is going to make, and react accordingly. For instance, if you are facing a Poseidon Player, you should go Forseti and Bragi, to fight his Hips. But if you have a Set player as opponent, Freya's Thundering Hooves can help your Rc to wreak havoc around his slingers.
When i go to classic, i always think first what God is my opponent playing, and then chose the god! When going Heroic, i usually go Bragi, because he grands uber Ulfsarks, a pretty solid Myth Unit, and a battle-turning Gp. However, Skadi is nothing to despise! Her Gp can be awsome as well, and her techs are pretty neat, especially if you lost the water in water maps, and don't want to fall behing on food (Winter Harvest). The bonus TA get is not bad, but they have a crappy attack to start with, so it's not so important as it seems..
Finally, in Mythic, i usually go Tyr, if the fight is balanced, or Baldr if i'm winning steadily (or losing heavily....). Tyr's fimbulwinter is quite a pain in the ass, especially against Caravans, and when coordinated with an full-scale attack. Fenris Wolf Brood sucks, cause even though he's cheap, takes too much pop to be effective. His Huskarl and Ulfsark techs are great, especially if you went Forseti->Bragi->Tyr.
Baldr is amazing when your enemy has a Titan: cast Ragnarok, use half Heroes to build Gate, army and other half to delay the titan, and suddenly you have overcome the pop limit by 50 or plus... Not so hard to win, is it? =)
Fire Giants pack quite a punch, and his Techs are fine.
I hope i helped.EDIT: Btw, HomerJay, your sig sucks! Not so good to insult people just cause they can't understand you, now is it? ahah.
