The game should have been over in 20, but there are several things that make playing against him such a PAIN:
1. Getting to cast shockwave 3 times. You come in with a CA raiding party and BOOM - blown six ways to Sunday while his defense comes running in. He scouts and finds some villies mining gold and BOOM - they stand still while his murmilo cut them down.
2. Villies that don't need drop sites. They can stick them off in a hidden, defended corner of the map and move them around virtually at will, compounded by #3:
3. Those sky passages! You can be raiding a TC while he's off doing something else, slip into a sky passage and almost instantaneously here comes the defense - it's like he can cover the whole map at once!
4. Casting Vortex 3 times - just makes map control that much easier!
I won the game because I scouted and raided and he didn't. 3 times I had 20 villies mining gold with nothing of mine between them and his base. No excuse for him to not send a few turmae to every gold mine just to see where I am.
At about the 25 minute mark I sent a popped-out army straight at the heart of his base backed up by AQed catapults and meteored him. I swear to you, I wiped out about 15 buildings (including one TC, about 5 towers and a few manors) and maybe 5 citizens, and it seemed like he'd almost completely recovered within 5 minutes.
I didn't panic though - he didn't even *touch* my base that whole time so I knew there was NO WAY he had a better economy than me, so I just pulled back and healed up, and just tried to keep the pressure on *him* - hitting him with raids and/or siege before he had a chance to do it to me.
Overall, fun game, but MAN can Oranos be a pain!
