We're in crunch mode right now, meaning were all working uber hours so you probably wont hear a whole lot from us for a while. Sorry. As for the question thing, I will leave that up to any of the other ES forumers here if they want to pick that up-Im busy enough over at the other site.

Will you be able to tribute techs and units as well as resources?
No. They found that people would abuse the system if they could tribute units.

Seem as you can see armour + weapon upgrades could you plunder armour from dead foes?
Interesting idea, but it would probably not work given the game mechanics. So, my GUESS is no.

Can wild horses be tamed or mounted?
No word on this, but in previous games they chose to not do this for their own reasons. I know you'll be able to mount and dismount using the scenario editor, but it will probably not be in random map multiplayer. (side note: Battle Realms does this very well)

Will fires kill units and destroy buildings?
Depending on the source of the fire, yes and no. Fire produced by units would damage a building and other units. A God Power (hypothetical) that creates a consuming fire would also damage buildings and possibly even units. But if a building is on fire, that won't cause the building to burn down. ES didn't like that idea.

Are the units from the poll the only mu's that arent cut?
I'm pretty sure that there are more MUs than that, but I could be wrong.

Can I get a BETA?, PLEASE?
Probably not. ES typically has inside beta testing. If they did go public, it would be for a very select group.

No longer so! There's going to be an open beta in May/June, according to the XGR interview.

While I'm surprised and excited to hear that, 'open beta' can mean many things. I'm sure they wouldn't let just anybody download it.
But, prove me wrong.

PseudoKnight, ES said it was a marketing beta...even saying that they will let thousands of people jump in and play. Anyways, we shall see in coming months.

Really? That may be something similar to what SSSI did with the EE beta from the sounds of it. They made it so you could preorder the game and get the beta.

Would be very nice if ES would sell the beta-CD for the price of the full version and would put a free beta2full-upgrade on their Page in september.
Tributing techs is not good, but tributing units and buildings would be very nice, because when I die in Late Imperial and only have much ressources but no villager, I would get one of the villagers of my Teammate (he doesn't need them any longer) and I would be able to build a new town. And if I haven't got any military units but my mate is fighting against three enemies, he would give me all Units fighting against the one enemy, and then he would only need to fight two of them. But in AoM every Civ has its own Units, and so it is not fair to change the Unit's colors, I think.
Plundering armour from dead enemy soldiers would be nice but unfair and not implementatable* for ES. It would be better if units gotten from other players by monks** 1. if they are better than the units from the player -> would be upgraded with blacksmith etc. when done by the player. 2. if they are worse than the player's units they would get all armour technologies researched by the player.
************************************************************ PS: I know the grammar is worst ever seen here, but I don't know how to use the tenses in if-clauses and many vocabulary. Please don't hang me!
*I don't know if this word is really English... comes from a Latin word and means "it could not possibly be putted into the game" or sth. like this
**what's the word for that what monks are doing to get enemy units to the own color?
Oh, I don't know what I did the last 6 years at school while having English lessons... PISA is right, german pupils are the worst
