I am not afraid to say I am a noob. I am pretty poor with the game and although I am rated 1675 on voobly, on ESO, I am rated 1540.
I used to be better; in 2007 I was 1720 on ESO with Norse before I quit for 3 years. I have since rejoined ESO and my online rated experience has mostly been this:
Play as random all, looking for game, broadening settings etc. Find game, it's someone who's rating is apparently 1400 (I think this is when they have a new account they use the beginner search) So I literally have no idea how skilful they are, I beat them about 50% of the time and if I win I get absolutely no points, sometimes max 3 points, or , if I lose, I lose about 20.
I was thinking though, I rarely see anyone under 1585, so I am somehow the worst player in the game? even though I know a lot of game theory, have a relatively high APM and can capitalize on mistakes.

Is it smurfs ruining it? why can't people stick to one account because I can absolutely trounce some people, like I would be 300 points above them, but they simply make a new account. I remember having a discussion with Mirez about what ruined AoT and he said "Actions and his friends smurfing" so he moved to gameranger... Do you think this has an element of truth in it?
They used to say hard AI was 1600. I can defeat Hard AI 1vs4 without using any weird vs AI techniques but I am still no where close to that.
Secondly I would like to inform you all that there are actually two boards two discuss AoM and AoT, a much more active one is here.
