Yes, I wanted to say it for a long time. As long as you don't earn your own money (unless your parents are so generous they always buy you a new P3 2200 whenever you ask), you can not be a dedicated <cough, me Asian(!)> gamer. You have to earn your own money. Right now I want to upgrade my PC which is AMD 750 MHz 128 RAM 32 Riva TNT2, but, my parents... I wil go to univ in 6 months time.....at least 4 more years till I earn my own money, and I may have to do a Masters and then even a Ph D if I perform the way I have been doing <gulp>. Woohoo...not that I am angry with my parents, they have always been very generous, but you must understand that they doesn't understand anything about AOM and War3 and ESO and P3 2200s etc. My father and mother both use the net, and father was asking why I need a P3 2200. Well, what can I say? I just can't ask my dad to spend ~$800 right now (we're buying an apartment....so money shortages , maybe later after some kinda good grades or when they've more money ). I can't have a better broadband conn, I can't have all those new hardwares......oh I have got so much to whine about (y?), but should I? No, I don't think so, ad I don't thiunk I really have got time enough right now to game more than 2-3 hours a day But hey, how old are you. The avg gamer is 25 years old. And if you're <15 and playing AOM right now in a good PC with good net conn, either you're an extremely lucky kid with yar dad somehow in the IT field or needs a new powerful PC+net for his job, or, he has a poopieload of money, or, you have done something so good (like a good result) that he will buy you something. Well I see all these experts, Koven, Champ, Grunt, Halen, Showtime.Werra, Korea_AsA (except Chris) and they all earn their own money.....for hardcorfe, even for serious gaming you need to earn yourself. And you gotta have time which we students lack so much, speically in univ
So, am I right, or do you have a different opinion?
