When I got a newer system 2 years ago it came with Windows 10. The game installed easily, but I didn't play it then. The other day I thought I would play it again, been a long time, bored with the newer games, funny...it doesn't load. So of course a googling I went and I found all kinds of (really out of date) ideas and suggestions and I followed every one that didn't seem to need too much monkeying around (all of them had mixes of people saying it worked for them, and people it didn't work for.) But lots of posts blaming it on secdrv.sys being disabled by MS. I decided to do a search on my c drive and I found I actually have 2 secdrv.sys files...one is in a windows subfolder for 64 bit the other is in my gog.com game folder for might and magic 9. So that got me thinking...if this is indeed the problem (no 32 bit version) is there a way to copy it from gog to aom and make aom use it?
I know there were some other topics on this subject but they seemed rather long dead and rather then perform a dark ritual and raise one of them back to life, I thought I would just start a new one.
Thanks in advance for any help.
