Hello AOMHeaven Forum Community. I am totally new here and have two questions to the design in UI of AOM.
The past few days I created my first real map, which is for my conditions pretty good. Now here is the first question:
How can I convert a spotlight picture from .bmp file to .ddt file (settings: 16-bit, no alpha [0], 5 mip-map levels)
without being just white and checkered ingame. The original campaign pictures like the one from mission 23 works completly fine, but my own not.
Second question:
Is it possible to create a custom picture in the menu of the game for my scenario (like in the original campagin with the red arrows and the heroes from mission to mission). I found some pieces of "greece", "egypt" and "norse" map in the textures.bar
I conclude that there has to be several pieces, not a whole .ddt for the map.
I know this is a very special question and I found nothing out by searching the forum or in the internet. I hope you can help me.
Luck and Fair Winds,
Dragonheart I

Thank you for your fast reply first.
I am using the TT Version, My opinion is, that the original game is better ^^.
The .bmp was 32 bit, you was right. Then it showed up with weired negative pictures. I just converted it to partletted, not just only 16-bit no-alpha and now it works. Thank you again.
For the second question, should I ask in "Modding" section now? Or do you want something about the definition of the map pieces to the special scenario missions (campaign)?
