I dont get it. A lot of people claim these two are the weakest major gods in the game. Yet: Odin, on the Heroic Age, can have potentially some of the most powerfull cavalry on the game( Heavily boosted Jarls, that can walk over even several infantry and myth units ), and Gaia... Well, admittedly, her bonuses arent as versatile or interesting as the ones of the other two Atlantean major gods, but still, she allows for a very fast boom( What the Atlantean are good at anyway. ). Why do people often claim these two are the worse?

Eh, I guess I can see why. Myth units are cost-effective and population-effective enough that it is usually wise to make as many of then as your Favor production allows. Though, Ra, for a example always seemed ( To me ) very human-centric and boom-centric, and I never heard anyone complaining about him, for a example.( Note: Not saiyng that he is necesserially bad, just triyng to understand what makes him better then these two

I never and will never put Odin in the same "league" as gaia - no matter the patch/version simply because of frost and rag which imo means that Gaia has her own "worst" league if you will
Why Gaia is the worst: advantage - boom
..but boom to what? atlantean bad lategame? and even among other atlanteans gaia doesn't get helios so lategame possibilities are even more limited

Fanatics, mostly Fanatics.
I dont think the Atlantean lategame is -THAT-Bad, though I will agree that the Atlanteans( And Gaia is even worse on this regard due to the lack of Helios ) lack any unit with quite as much "oomph" as, say... Colossus, or Giants or the likes. Fanatics are probably the most powerfull infantry units on the game, though. But they DO occupy three population slots, in a civilization that already struggles to manage its population...

Personally I use Gaia quite a lot but I’m not very good at supremacy.
Some other problems people have with Gaia are no Prometheus so no free hero’s. Not important for supremacy but some scenarios get broken by Gaia lush.

my problem with fanatics is not their pop slots but their awful, terrible train time - 12 seconds for a unit that comes only from a palace is way too much, you need 4-6 palaces to wield them in any meaningful capacity
compare that to "good" fort units: jarls 9 seconds from a cheaper fort, chariot archers 6 seconds

I use Odin a lot, and I am mostly happy with my choice. His early food bonuses really help. I don't fully understand why Thor is usually picked over Odin. [I understand the Gold and dwarf updates, but do they really help with Myth units?]
