Playability: 5
Once again, this scenario is very enteraining. it took me about 40 minutesto beat the game. but sometimes it gets kind of tireing to just defend the wonder. maybe if you could somhow add another mission that the player can accomplish besides defending the wonder for the entire game.
on this updated version, i kind of finded a little more easier. after you play this scenario more than once, you can figure out ways to beat the scenario without having to spend valuable resources. the trick is to buy bolts until its enough to kill the titans.
Balance: 4
I gave it an average this time. when the person figures out what the old man is for, you can easily buy stuff by just moving this unit. if the player decides to buy-only bolts, the game will becomes very easy. thats the reason why i could beat the game. defeating this game mostly depends on how well you defend your wonder and what you will buy with your old man which is a very good thing since you have to think a little. but if the player decides not to buy bolts and only units, it would be impossible to defeat the game.
so the other things that you can buy with your old man are actually useless besides the bolts and the villagers. you can just create an army of hersir(hero) which by the time, they will summon myth creatures. it wasnt neccessary for me to buy atlantian or greek archers.
the Fire Giant, which you can buy after a while, is way too strong. it made the game kind of too easy. also, like a said on the other review, enemy units walking down to the wonder do not attack until they are distance to point/unit. you should have fixed this problem by looping the trigger and put attack on. otherwise, the wont attack until they are distance to point/unit.
and once again, the economy. gold was the biggest problem on this issue. having two 6000 gold mines on the same spot, made it hard for villagers to gather gold. the tended to stop frequently. spreading these gold mines, would make it easier for the player to gather gold. also, wood it still a big problem. i ran out of it like on mid way.
you should add more space from where the villagers are gathering resources. and put more forest. the economy issue with the amount of resources are doesnt affec much the game play. but it was really annoying to have to check the villagers who stopped gathering gold and put them to gather gold again.
Creativity: 2
the ending was kind of disapointted. after you beat the third titan, an Advance Campaign scenario box appears saying: "continue next journey?". i thought it was gonna be more like an ending cinematic. after all, you spended almost an hour playing it for just a message to appear. and when this message box appears, the game doesnt end. add the the effect End Game.
having to control the old man, in order to buy stuff, was actually not that original. but still very good how you manage to work this on triggers. the problem when buying something, is that you sometimes had to put your oldman very close to front of the statue/unit in order to get what you want.
the idea is actually very good. i would have rateted a 5 if you could put more of a story, and cinematics and more of eyecandy. the scenario still very blank just like the un-uploaded version.
Map Design: 1
The map design is acutally very blank. no eyecandy at all. half of the map is actually being used during the entire game. the buildings for player one would need to spread out and facing different direction so it looks better instead of putting the houses in a straight line.
roughing the terrain and painting it with more colors would make the scenario more enjoyable. on the updated version, try to add more embeshelliment. it is a bad idea that you make an scenario on a map that you think you will not use the entire terrain
Story/Instructions: 3
Not much to say here. eccept that the scenario doesnt have objectives, spotlight story. at the beginning of the game, where you appear with a few villagers that after a minute will convert into towers, light tower, and a hillfort, is kind of hard to figure out that after a minute your villagers will convert into buildings since the message that appears doesnt specify that your villagers will turn into buildings after a minute. it only says that the villagers will change names. it doesnt meantion anything about villagers changing to buildings at all.
the scenario in some parts might not need objectives. but at the beginning, you have to scroll the map and try to find the old man that is able to buy stuff. when the game is starting, there is no message which mentions anything of this unit. in fact, it doesnt even says anything about defending the wonder.
Additional Comments:
try adding some objectives.
and you could have just uploaded your other version of tower defense instead of posting it again.
