5+ for effort and work involved. Obviously a lot of time and care went into this. However, this civ is so unbalanced at the moment that the only fair game would be vs. another Celt player. They are just devastatingly overpowered.
Barracks units in general are too strong. Eloquence is an amazing god power that should be in heroic, not classic. Fast classic + eloquence = game over. Changing the god power to heroic would make it less overpowering -- more of the huntables would be gone. It would still be a good power, especially on large maps or on maps with 4+ players.
Favor generation is problematic. The upgrade for the cairns is far too cheap for the return. Two cairns + 2 upgrades each = as much favor as 4 or 5 egyptian monuments, at a much, much cheaper net cost. I would limit it to one cairn and make upgrades 100 g.
Myth units are very powerful as well. I don't think they are necessarily too powerful (though the upgraded Will o the Wisp is close), but the optional upgrades are overkill. 75% increased speed is o_O, especially since it applies to your titan as well. One bug I noticed was that the upgrade that affects the damage done by mythic units worked for the titan, but not for my Will o the Wisps or Formorian. Another bug is that the Levy Soldiers button on the castle/migdol-type structure has incorrect text when hovered over (says it makes Jarls train faster).
There were many, many cool ideas though, and I would love to play games against others if balance were addressed. Please take my words above for what they are, constructive criticism of a fantastic mod.
Additional Comments:
Thanks to AOMPlayer's suggestion, I got it working. If anyone else is having trouble, make sure the barlist.txt in your AOM directory is the one from the Age of Celts file. |

Very well made, I enjoyed it immensely. This modpack really added to the game. You placed gave histories, original pictures, and remade the textures of units. This is what a modpack for a civ shoud be like. If the Norse had not existed, this modpack could have stood in its place.
Additional Comments:... I think I've said everything up there.

Very well made, and creative as well. New God Powers, buildings and units were a welcome change from the original civilizations, though not everything was perfect. You see, the problem is: A lot of MU's and God Powers weren't renamed, and some of them hadn't even got a changed texture. I don't know if it is my fault or something, but still. Also, the icons were very "blurred", if you see what I mean. It was hard to see the pictures exactly.
A good new civilization overall, but maybe do some more work on textures, names and pictures. They were a downfall after the other great things in this modpack. ;)[Edited on 05/22/06 @ 01:52 PM]

The mod is really cool though there is not much originality in the builgings its just plain norse buildings, the icons were not much of quality but thats ok, the major gods statues were bad as well thats also ok cos it is really hard to make a accurate major gods statue.
Additional Comments:
You finished the celts and you think you finished it and started working on the slavs. You should keep posting updates especially for the buildings like the LOTR civ by stephen caines. now you should update the slavs too when your finished this this way more downloads for ya and more liking towards the mod from us. The mod overall is cool.
