AoM: The Titans |
Wel ok, i love this website so i thought it was time i did my bit. I've made a map of narnia, first time only, please be nice... the actual map is set probably shortly after thehe end of lion the witch and teh warderboe in that it has the beavers in it as well as mr tumnus (a satyr, and the beavers are baboons) Take a look round, it's not enriely faithful to the books or anyhing, didn't use a map, just my spare way of filling up a weekend. Any comments welcome.
Emphasis on any comments wleomce. I did it two days, from scratch, and it's the first time i've ever used the editor by the way - just so people will be nice to me. Obnly workls on the titans. By the way, it's only eyecandy, ucan't actually play it, as people have said. |

I liked the map. Now, unless I missed something and I sometimes do, there wasn't a way to play it. Thats the only downside I could find. Otherwise it looked nice. I really wish I could find a good Narnia themed scenario set to play. |

Very, very good map, unfortunatly, yes, i don't see any way of really playing that. However, it would be good for making a cinematic. I'd make one but my memory doesn't seem to remember just what happened in that book XD |

I gotta say, you have really outdone yourself. I can't create anything better or as good as that. I've created some pretty cool screenshots on editor, but that was using freeze animations. |

It's not bad. Pretty good if it really is your first time using the editor. And, I do like the forge.
Though, it's nothing too special. It didn't really make me think of the book or the movie.
Here are some suggestions:
- I don't know if you have it, but if you don't download Reyk's newest AoM:TT editor. It will really help.
- Use some variety in the forests. (Different kinds of trees, spacing in the trees, resize some trees)
- Mix the terrain up more so it's not all Grass A. And, blend the terrain so it doesn't go to grass then straight to snow.
- Don't leave the map blank (add grass, bushes, more trees, buildings, ice, etc. to the semi-blank areas of map.
- Smooth out the slopes. Don't have giant straight cliffs of grass. Smooth them down so it's less of a slope.
- Add detail to the river (rocks, waves, animals, etc.)
*Don't take these comments in a negative way. They are just suggestions for your first map.
Good job!
