AOME UPDATE - NOW LEGENDS OF MIDDLE EARTH
The AoME Beta has been merged with Liquid Fire Studios modpack to be used as a basis of the forthcoming TTT and ROTK scenario modpacks.
Release 3 is posted on Diino and Liquid Fire Studios. My Diino account can handle 250 dowloads a day (Not sure what the LFS limit is). The following are the links:

You need to download and run the two main files first. These are LOME 3.0.zip and LOME Soundtrack 3.0.zip. Once installed download the latest patch file LOME Patch 3.xx.zip and run this.
We will shortly be releasing TTT, and a 25th Anniversary Edition of FOTR (well it seems like it's been 25 years) that will run properly on the Legends of Middle Earth game engine.
This will be posted on AoMH assuming that a 12meg post is OK.
The latest patch release is [b]3.05[/b] as of 12 Aug 2009. |

awesome but some of the new units that were included such as gil galad and the black gate dont have good textures, they kinda just change colors. i dunno if that is supposed to happen or not. |

This is one of my favorite mods. The textures are really good and I love how you made all those different civs. Please keep working on this because it is awesome.
Additional Comments:
I'm not sure if its just me but the other day I was the Fellowship on a large Ghost Lake vs. Melkor and my hobbits stopped gathering wood and gold. Also Gimli can cut down trees but cant gather from them (not sure if that was intentional) other than that this mod was super special awesome.

I like this mod
some units still needs improving the textures, also for some units the sounds don't work. unfortunately the AI it's not good too, but the mod is really impressive, the buildings and the units looks amazing. and despite these little imperfections, I give you a 5 for your great work

I want to say that I absolutely love this mod. At this point, I'm playing it more than the original game. There are a few changes that I might suggest, but those mostly have to do with the continuity with Tolkien's setting (I am somewhat of a Tolkien geek myself, so let me know if you would like my help with that aspect). Other than that, my only beef is that I think that Grond is too weak (for its cost and how difficult it is to get it anywhere, it seems odd that it does less damage than a single catapult).
Other than that, I enjoy your work immensely, I'm more than glad to help, and I eagerly await more updates. [Edited on 04/16/07 @ 11:44 PM]

This mod is almost perfect..
Textures are OK..
Diff civ are good and creative..
AI needs a bit of work.. they dont tend to attack much later in the game even in Titan
Sounds get a bit annoying and reppetitive later on
Background Music is like the real LOTR
Towers n Walls, even wen u upgrade them.. they still look the same but with diff stats.. i was hoping it would be better soon
Bugs/Errors:
Ring of Power doesnt work on flying Nazgul (so no Witch King for me)..(Mordor)
Unriding Theoden costs money(Men)
The other barracks of Mordor (where u get the Uruk-Hai) it doesnt give 25 population as it should be.(Mordor)
Unriding Nazgul costs money(Mordor)
Grond is treated partially as a building (Mordor)
U can also time-shift other buildings (Mordor)
The game crashes when u look at some unit's info
This mod is good.. i know it is on beta and im giving u the thumbs up for the overall effort and work u have put in |

The patch is excellent.
The mod is excellent.
The textures are brilliant. The units are excellent. The god powers are very good. The races (except dwarves) are fantastic. What more can I say? It's the best mod EVER!!!
Additional Comments:
All the units and buildings are brilliant but, as with certain buildings, the flying Nazgul really slows down gameplay, except when it attacks. But I've noticed that the flying Witch King model is practically the same as the Nazgul one, yet the WK one doesn't slow down gameplay. It doesn't really make sense. It's only a minor bug but it's rather frustrating when I choose Sauron for the Mythic Age. Apart from that and other very minor bugs the mod is FANTASTIC![Edited on 04/30/07 @ 05:31 PM]

Additional Comments:
things to look at and change and in my opinion maybe correct:
-Hobbits and Fellowship groups need to have food and other resources to start with in random map games
-Hobbits and Fellowship groups need to be able to build the armory in the first age and other buildings later on and another tc (keep working on these groups they look awesome)
-i think there might be a bug with rohan after i built a couple walls the game would crash
-i recommend that you maybe make another hero for the men (maybe the dunedain); Turin who is the the main character in the book Children of Hurin by JRR Tolkien recently released
-as the ages advance you could have an upgrade for him each upgrade is based on a name he makes up for himself through out his adventures and he would be a starting age unit and the names he gets in order would be
-Neithan the Wronged: increase speed and los
-Gorthol:allow him to toggle between sword and bow also gives him the helm of his ancestors with a dragon on it which increases def
-Mormegil: recieves a black longsword and increases his defence
-Turambar:(very expensive upgrade)increase speed, attack, def,hp,and bow range and attack and gives him a special attack where he yells something like "i am a curse" and it gives the heka giant effect.
-also the bright green moss on the mordor towers and market should probably be turned black
-also with the skin changers recommend for a better look for the bear form be based on the tartarian beast but with bear texture and also enlarged ( i would have done it myself but i haven't been able to get a successful mod yet)

The only thing thats not a 10 is the ai. The enemy seems to mass in between bases and just stops their. |
