This is my second DM game I have played. I am looking for comments, advice, and the like before I play any more games (I am trying to avoid developing bad habits =P)
Description:
Typical start, I advance Heimdall, Bragi, Hel. I get the early advantage by quickly massing Hel's insta-Fire Giants. Once again I am unsure how to proceed with the game, so I easily hold my ground, micro my giants to his siege, start my economy and take TCs. I notice a scout of his on my side of the map near my trade, and I know I should have done something about that... but I never did.
He decides to use underworld where his scout was positioned (oh..) and marches right towards my home base. I take the opportunity to push my attack while his army is away. To defend my base, I stop unit production on the battle front, delete a few units and instantly create some giants at my home TC. He does some damage, but nothing crucial. During the time he is away trying to destroy my home I wreck his base. I later find out he is out of resources.
