Story:
Your civilization is so wealthy, you purchased a wonder. But your neighbors are jealous of this wonder, and plot to destroy it.
Outline:
Every 30 seconds, a wave of enemies will attack your town. Hold them off as long as you can. If you can hold them off for 10 minutes, you win, but...if you loose your wonder, all is lost. Including the game.
This is a challenging Scenario. It's not so much about winning, but more about how long you can hold them off.

Playability: 5
I had a lot of fun playing this scenario. It is very fluent, the waves come at well chosen intervals and the fighting almost never ends! The only thing i can think of that could be improved on, is perhaps varying the units that are attacking, such as archers, myth units etc. This has very little to no impact on the gameplay and so it has not affected the rating ;)
Balance: 5
The balance is equally brilliant, and although i did not beat it first time, i was very almost there (9mins-ish). this is a challenging scenario that provides the difficulty that the original game did not, yet is not so hard that it is impossible.
Creativity: 4
Another excellent catagory! You were very creative in this scenario. The story is intresting, and the units given at the beginning are suitable. The map layout however is kinda basic, with 3 paths leading up to a small community. You could use the area of the map at the top to extend the town (which by the way does not yet look like a very "wealthy community") or make the jealous neighbour's town perhaps?
Map Design: 5
The eyecandy is terrific on your scenario, the terrain is well mixed and realistic, and the cliffs and woods look cool too. I particulary liked the area around the wonder, but the whole map is very detailed. I liked the use of the gold mines to prevent building walls, as using unbuildable terrain woud look out of place and generally rediculous! Good use of rocks, logs, grass, flower etc and generally a great map.
Story/Instructions: 4
Although the Instructions are very basic, you seem to have them scattered throughout the title of the scenario and the timer titles. You could add an introductory cinematic, or at least an objective to define what you actually have to do. This is really just nit-picking but without reading the discription above you have to look in several places to find out the objective.
Additional Comments:
Well done, this is overall an excellent scenario and recommend any readers to try it out.
Cheers

Well i loved playing the game it was well balanced and i always had the feeling i was gonna die. but i always managed to survive :D The sad side was that i made it in my first try and my wonder didnt even get damaged. (HINT: do a meteor in the CENTER or the town when its like 1 min left. A meteor will kill the TC)
Balance: 3
Well i made it on my first try... Just keep producing villies and build towers and walls. And send the hoplites south. And when you fall back from the gold create miniotaurs, simple defence tacktick :P
Creativity: 5
I LOVE the way you make a defence scenario so good. As i said earlier i always felt like i was going to die. You might say defence map is uncreative but this map is far.. smaller than any other def map.
Map Design: 3
It was not much of a designed map... You could have put inn some side missions for reinforcement or something. But that would cinda have ruined the "i-am-trapped-in-my-base-and-i-cent-get-out" feeling.
Story/Instructions: 2
Well... There aint no story. But that is cinda some of the charm!
Additional Comments:
LOOOVE the map. I am shure to play it more than once. And maby host it online so a human person can attack me. But then i would probably have lost... |
