My disclaimer is I'm not an eyecandy expert. Far from it. However, I am a good critic, and I like helping people get better.
First off, if you're only going to use a tiny corner of the map, instead of making me open up a scenario, just take a screenshot and send that instead.
1. The citidel: I liked how you used the lighthouses on the corners, but the statues and the tartarian gate were out of place.
2. The palace: An enlarged building isn't very exciting.
3. The map: Use greek road A for roads, not atlantis tile. Also, in the grass areas, add a little grassdirt25-75 instead of just grassA monotone.
4. Fishing town: Better terrain mixing, better eyecandy. Try flattening out the ground in the atlantistile area, and adding some units in.
5. Giants: This one made me laugh =D. Try using normal hades terrains, and only using the lava bubble in the middle so it isn't floating in mid air. Or, just use one lava pool in the middle and make it big.
6. Graveyard: Add some flowers or bushes, and again, this would be a map you should have just taken a screenshot of.
7. Hades: Good terrain mixing.
8. Hills: Maybe a little more terrain mixing and eyecandy.
9. Narnia: The terrain was a little unrealistic. And which one was lucy...?
10. The camp: I actually really liked this one. The only weird part were the waves in the pond.
11. The road: O I C what u did thar. Took me awhile to get it. I like it though XD
12. The underworld: For some reason the statues in the middle looked like a bunch of Hadeses hugging each other. I liked the skeletons though.
So... sorry about taking up so much room, but I hope it helps you out. You definately seemed to get better from scenario to scenario. |

First off...
Make the screenshots!
Trust me it will make a huge difference.
I'm sorry but I thought hey where all pretty bad. The camp one was the best. Most of the others were pretty average-poorly done. You should check out the pictures here:

and here:

Those will give you a standard that you can go by. Hope that helps also you could look up some other screenshots in the download section, especially those done by shad0w_hawk ~ Khan |

For a begginers eyecandy attempt this is great, there were some real gems in there! The hades gate, citadel, camp and graveyard where all awesome! The road was just hillarious, brilliant. Although the temple of the gods poking out of the citadel looked a bit dodgy.
The maps where you greatly enlarged things (the giants and the palace) where not very good, don't enlarge things unless you really, really need to.
What you realy need to work on is terrain, this is where your maps fall apart. While the ideas are great terrain makes a HUGE difference to mood. Blocks of 1 terrain type always look bad. |
