AOM Light Editor by Render:
This program makes it easy to create custom lighting settings for use in Age Of Mythology. To use it, simply enter the name of the light setting, select the colours of each different type of light. Select the position and Strength of the sun by entering the sun inclination and sun rotation values. Then save the file in your Age Of Mythology, and it will be avaliable for you to use in the games map editor.
Also:
Also included the install folder are some samples to use in your maps made by CheeZy Monkey, and myself (Render) to use them, put them in the data folder in your AOM directory. |

Very, very good job on this. It is very easy to use, user-friendly, and gets the job done wothout you having to enter the RGB code and editing files. The only slight problem that I found was that it didn't include a description on what each field meant, but that can be found out by experimenting...and it sure beats having to edit files :)
Additional Comments:
If you have an interest at all for making lighting, download this, it saves tons of time. |

This is an excelent program and rasher specificaly designed it for ease of use.
Thanks to this program, you don't need to know any programming (or any RGB values) knowledge to create your own lighting. And best of all, you can get some idea of what your lighting effect will look like before you actually test it in-game.
And for the oldies who prefer plain notepad scripting - you'll be glad to know that this program is 2 times faster than creating an effect the classic way.
Tweaking and editing your file is mutch easier.
I highly recommend this program to people interested in creating their own lighting effects for their map.[Edited on 12/16/02 @ 08:17 PM]

It can be run form any folder you choose to install it to. Lighting files should be placed in your {AOM Directory}DATA folder |

After extensive testing and use of your program, this rating is my final opinion.
It's just a great idea
Additional Comments:
With colouring one can express feelings in a scenario, the mood of the moment, etc.
Now what does the poet mean by that ?
I can't explain it with the proper words in English and I fear you don't speak ancient or at least modern Greek. So the only explanation for this great modpack you've made, can be found in the latest (good) movies of chinese cinema i.e Zan Yi Mou films, etc.
Wow, deep huh?
Never mind me, sometimes I philosophize too much, GREAT WORK, congrats

I Love your Lighting Editor! It is simple and easy!
Additional Comments: I don't know what they are complaining about--No help--just hold your mouse over a field and it tells you what it is for. Or, go to "File" and then "Help".
